Our Journey: 14 Years of Crafting Dynamic Brands

Welcome to our first blog post, where we’re excited to share not only our professional journey but also a glimpse into who we are as individuals. As immigrants from Colombia, our paths to founding our remote branding agency have been filled with growth, challenges, and rewarding partnerships.
How we started
Since day one, our business model has been centered around remote work. We believe in the power of collaboration without borders, connecting with clients and skilled providers from around the world to deliver exceptional branding solutions. Whether it’s coding, development, animation, VR, AR, or any other creative endeavor, we’ve embraced remote collaboration to bring our clients’ visions to life.
Our decision to go remote was driven by a desire to create a lifestyle centered around our passions, free from the constraints of time and location. We wanted the flexibility to work on projects we love while maintaining a balanced life.
Carlos’s journey began in 1998 when he arrived in New Jersey, starting as a busboy and gradually working his way up to waiter/bartender while pursuing his college education. His passion for design led him to graduate as a Graphic Designer in 2006, kickstarting a career that saw him rise from a junior designer at a flower / real estate company to the role of art director at a small marketing agency. Always striving for excellence, Carlos ventured out to start his own branding agency in 2010, fueled by his creativity, passion, he’s always on the lookout for inspiration wherever he goes, finding creative sparks in the world around him. This creative flair extends to his passion for cooking, where he delights in experimenting with flavors and ingredients.
Beatriz’s path took her to the United States in 2001 after graduating from industrial engineering in Colombia. She quickly adapted to her new environment, transitioning from working in stores to roles in office assistance and bookkeeping. Her analytical mindset and love for numbers paved the way for a successful career in digital campaign strategies at big Miami agencies. In 2019, Beatriz joined forces with her husband to run C Plus 8 Design, bringing her eager analytical skills and strategic marketing expertise to the agency.
Together, we combine our unique backgrounds, skills, and personalities to form a dynamic partnership at C Plus 8 Design. Carlos’s boundless creativity and passion for design are complemented by Beatriz’s analytical prowess and strategic thinking. This blend of creativity and logic drives our approach to crafting compelling brand narratives and delivering impactful marketing solutions for our clients
